The Pax Herbal Centre Clinic and Research Laboratories otherwise known as Paxherbals® is an initiative of the monks of St Benedict monastery originally embarked upon with the primary intention of contributing to the health needs individuals who desire the natural alternative of staying healthy. Over the years, the work of Paxherbals® has grown in popularity due to the efficacy of its herbs and the re-awakend desire for the natural alternative to conventional medicine. Now a force to be reckoned with in Nigeria within the circle of Natural medicine profession, Paxherbals® products is now to be found in every state in Nigeria as well as the USA and UK and other African countries. The history of Paxherbals® goes back to when in 1996 when one of the monks decided to do a little experiment with his knowledge of herbs on a very small scale without any prior intent of going on a project that will eventually become of commercial value. With the help and support of the entrire monks of the monastery, the work of Paxherbals® has grown from a little centre designed to attend to a few tens to a work that is now beyond the borders of Nigeria. It has always been the Benedictine tradition to contribute, not just to the spiritual needs of all those living around them, but also, in any other way their lives may be affected positively.
